Adbrite Online Advertising Network
By Steve Renner | June 30, 2008
A mainstay in Online Advertising for years is AdBrite. AdBrite is an Online Advertising Network.
AdBrite, known as “The Internet’s Ad Marketplace,” connects Advertisers with Site Owners, to generate Traffic and Ad Revenues. The Adbrite system allows advertisers to target keywords and choose specific sites to advertise on.
AdBrite has a sophisticates “Intelligent” ad serving platform which gives advertisers a number of ways to setup highly targeted ad campaigns.
Adbrite determines demographic data for visitors to network publishers via a cookie and reverse IP lookup. They grab U.S. census data based on the zip code of the visitor, which gives them data on ethnicity and income level.
Adbrite also looks at Comscore data for each site that user visits, which gives them reasonably good age and gender data. Once a user visits enough sites, Adbrite has a very good idea of the age, gender, ethnicity and income level of that particular user. Advertisers can then choose to target their ads to certain users.
Adbrite claims they have 491 million impressions a day available on 72,188 sites in the network. The AdBrite Network boasts some well known high traffic sites, including:
* Ebay
* Lycos
* Digg
* Yahoo
* Pure Volume
* Womens Day
* CMT
* VH1
* and 1,000’s more
Can you generate Traffic from AdBrite, Yes! But, it’s up to you to convert it. A common theme among users is The are getting plenty of traffic, but not many conversions.
I ran across this short tutorial from Joe LeKostaj of www.escapejobhell.com
Adbrite is a finicky beast. Here’s the method I use:
-find an offer with *good* banner creatives and a great landing page
-pick a couple broad demographics that might like the offer
-target all the preferred sites in that demo
-set a fairly low CPM (less than 50 cents)
-make sure you have a method to track which site converts (your aff mgr can place a pixel for you)
-set it to $10/day
-let it go for 3-4 days
-go in and look at your stats
-calculate your ROI for each site/creative/placement
-pause the unprofitable ones
-crank up the budget
Also, if you find a site that really converts well, contact the owner about private advertising. Most of them are running ad rotators anyway. It’s more profitable for them to eliminate adbrite as the middleman anyway.
Some good advise there, thanks Joe!
So can you Make Money Online using AdBright. Like Pay Per Click or any other Internet Marketing Strategy, Adbrite will get you Traffic, then it’s up to you to convert that Traffic to Dollars.
I will run a campaign on AdBright and get back to you with the results. This might be a good one to test my Tattoo Design Affiliate Marketing site (TattooSmart).
