Christmas Giveaway Causes Server Meltdown

Posted by admin as Email Marketing

(I-Newswire) - The Christmas Giveaway by Steve Renner, well known Internet Marketing entrepreneur, kicked off on Saturday December 8, 2007. Within a few hours there was so much traffic coming in to the site that it caused a server meltdown.

The server hosting the site could not handle the traffic and slowed down to a crawl. Brian Lanberger, the operations manager of the data center said, “The server literally overheated and was smoking”.

Luckily it did not start a fire. The web site was running slow over the weekend. Today the tech team at the data center were able to move the site to a larger server, where now it is operating at normal speed.

The cause of the problem is the package that Steve Renner is giving away for free. The Christmas Giveaway package is valued at over $400 and contains Internet Marketing training and resource materials that people can immediately download.

Steve is getting coverage all over the internet about his Christmas Giveaway, including Hub Pages, Squidoo, Technorati, and Digg.
