Indeed that’s a really nice directory,unfortunately many bloggers install do follow plugin,add their site and after they get approved into the directory they switch back to nofollow.

Running after traffic..can make you do this kind of things?

Not a great way to drive traffic if you ask me..

Thanks for the post. It is one of the easiest ways to get your link up on a webpage but this mass fetish with dofollow links conditions webmasters or marketers into thinking that blog comments should only be used for the sole purpose of getting immediate benefits like backlinks.

I never knew we could search like that it’s interesting and something I might look into when I find some free time!

I thought all blogs had the n-follow attribute, thanks for the heads up. Good point! Makes more people want to leave comments on your blog and keeps the content new and always up to date.

I had a look at the dofollow blog directory you mention in the post. The only problem with directories on this topic is the get out of date very quickly because they aren’t regularly checked to see if the blogs in the list are still dofollow. In some cases the blog owner changes there mind about their dofollow status. When this happens, it kind of makes the directory annoying to go through because you find so many nofollow blogs within the directory. It’s a great starting point for beginners though and you’re definitely heading in the right direction. What I would suggest though is a dofollow blog finder or search engine that regularly updates it listings.

Though its a very tough job to find out the links which are do follow but not impossible. Initially when we are new it seems to be difficult but as days passes we become perfect with the task.

I leave comments on blogs because I find a post useful or interesting. If someone wants to interact with me on my blog and leave a comment then it will stay, but you had better read the post first.
Much more important to actually want to contribute than just to get a backlink.
