Google Caffeine Hot Or Not

Posted by Steve Renner as Google, Search Engine Marketing

Google Caffeine looks to be a major upgrade in their search strategy. But, is it good for marketers? It may change the dynamics of PPC, we will have to wait and see.

google-caffineGoogle Search Guru Matt Cutts calls this the most significant update since the “Big Daddy Update” in 2005. Cutts said with Caffeine Google is re-writing how they index pages.

Think of Caffeine as a redeployment of the computing network that Google uses to connect searchers and results. “We want to make a system that is more robust, that can do more–and do more faster,” Cutts said. ( More Faster )

Google is constantly making changes “Under The Hood” to it’s search and most are not noticible to users. But with Caffeine the changes are significant and users will notice a difference. This is why Google is making a Big Deal about this.

They (Google) say that it has nothing to do with the whole Bing thing or Yahoo pulling out of the search game, but rather something that has been in development for quite some time.

Who knows… who cares?
