Even though the worlds economy is in a slump, the Virtual economy is booming! Looks like Online Sales for the Holiday Shopping Season were up “Big Time” this year.
Amazon says it had it’s “Best Year Ever” with sales up around 20% over last year. At the peak they were selling 72.9 items per second! The big sellers include 52″ HDTV, iPods, Laptops, and Wii.

I’ll bet the rest of the “Non Internet Dollar based Retailers aren’t as fortunate when the stats come out for the holiday season, but as Steve has pointed out, the real recession proof business is on the Internet.
