Social Media News: Seems like a few months ago, everyone was all hyped up on Social Networking site Facebook. I was getrting 10 Facebook Friend Requests a day. Everyone I know was on Facebook, it was everywhere. All the goofy Facebook Applications, Vampire Bites, Super Wall, Buy Me A Drink… Then the romance wore off. Now you don’t hear about it much.
I still get a friend request once in a while, or an offer from a group, or an upcoming event.. but not like it was. I think Facebook has it’s core base of users, it just seemed to move out of the Internet Marketing crowd.
Facebook has huge traffic numbers, and there are Marketing Opportunities there if you want to go after it. I tried their Pay Per Click advertising but didn’t see any results from it. Maybe I wasn’t using it to the fullest potential, but my first impression was it wasn’t targeted.
Facebook core users are college kids, but the demographics are changing. I don’t know if it’s just me but I think the Facebook Buzz ifs fading.
Everyone I know is on Twitter!
