Yahoo Cuts Deal With Google

In a move to to stop take over attempts my Microsoft, Yahoo has agreed to allow Google Adwords ads to be placed along side Yahoo Search results. Now Google has gained a foothold inside enemy lines. What does this mean for Internet Marketers?

Yahoo Search Marketing which has been an excellent alternative to Google Adwords. The cost are generally lower, as there is not as much competition, and they are not as picky on Landing Pages, or Keyword groups. Yahoo has been the “Secret Weapon for many Pay Per Click marketers, but most Businesses still are not aware of the Yahoo system.

Yahoo introduced the Panama Platform in 2007, which is very user friendly compared to the old Overture pay-per-click platform. With thousands of advertisers, and billions of dollars in ad spending at stake Yahoo has successfully moved from the pure “highest bidder wins” model, to the “bid plus quality” model.

Internet Marketers can still find good value in advertising on Yahoo Search Marketing. Time will tell how Google’s new agreement to run their ads in Yahoo Search will effect marketing on Yahoo.
