YouTube introduces Call To Action Overlays. This is an important addition to its suite of advertising products, and it has the potential to have a huge impact for marketers, politicians, brands, and charities alike.

The official name is the Call-To-Action Overlay, and it’s about as straightforward as it gets: it’s a semi-transparent pop-up that links viewers to any website you choose. For example, you could place an overlay on a product video inviting users to visit the corresponding site to get more information and even purchase it. Cool!

Now your YouTube video viewers will not have to Type In a URL manually to get to your site, they can simply click the link. This is a significant milestone in Video Marketing, and a major advancement for marketers to get the word out on YouTube

I expect to see the other video sharing sites to follow suit.

Another internet marketing strategy from Google. This Call To Action Overlay on Youtubes video are indeed handy.

If I remember it right, I also happen to visit a video site where you can mouse over anything on the video and click on it then it will bring you to a site related t an item that you clicked on the video. I forgot what they call that kind of marketing but it’s kind a great.

YouTube in general is one of my favorite sites. I visit it daily. I have found it to be a good marketing/promotion tool as well. This call to action tool is a great addition to an already powerful marketing channel.
